Karen Rubin, Managing Director – Talking Talent

Karen works with professionals at all stages of their careers, and is dedicated to building a strong pipeline of female leaders. She helps her clients envision what they want, set and achieve their goals, assess and play to their strengths, manage change, improve working relationships, and ensure success during high profile assignments. She serves as a personal sounding board so that her clients reach their full potential, and coaches with a combination of warmth and directness. She has worked extensively with women returning to work after taking a career break, created a mentoring program for the NYU Stern Women in Business Alumnae Committee, and speaks on panels and radio about women and their careers. Karen’s clients range from Senior Executives to mid-level managers at companies including Johnson & Johnson, Pitney Bowes, Princeton University, Symrise, New York University, Goodwin Proctor, as well as small to medium-sized businesses.
 
Karen trained and became certified at Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and holds the ACC Credential from the International Coach Federation. Prior to coaching, Karen earned degrees from New York University's Stern School of Business (MBA in Marketing) and from The University of Michigan (BA, English, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa). Karen has over 15 years of professional experience at companies including DIRECTV and Showtime Networks. In addition, she owned a company that designed, manufactured, imported, and sold baby products to retail stores including Nordstrom and buybuyBaby, as well as online. After taking some time off to focus on her three children, Karen was ready to get back into the business world. She transitioned to coaching after a careful assessment of her strengths and passion, and has never looked back. Karen lives in Princeton, NJ with her husband and three daughters.
